Do my clients need to create an account?
No. Clients access the portal through a unique secure link sent via email. There is no registration or login required. This removes friction and gets clients to your invoice faster.
Is the client portal secure?
Yes. Each portal link is cryptographically unique and only grants access to the specific invoice it was created for. All data is transmitted over HTTPS encryption. Clients cannot access other invoices or your account data.
How do clients submit payment?
Clients select their payment method (Interac e-Transfer, cheque, online payment via Stripe, or bank transfer) and submit a payment notification. You then verify the payment in your dashboard, which automatically updates the invoice status and creates a ledger entry.
Can I customize what clients see?
Yes. The portal shows your business logo, brand colours, and the payment methods you have enabled in Settings. You control whether to show late payment notices, signature lines, and other invoice elements through Invoice Customization.
Does the portal work with GST/HST invoices?
Absolutely. The portal displays a full tax breakdown (GST, HST, PST, or QST) exactly as it appears on your invoice. Clients can download the PDF with all CRA-required fields for their own tax records.
